Ashuni Pérez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television, and Film with a minor in Creative Writing from the University of North Texas. After graduating, she assumed various roles in the North Texan cultural festival circuit, such as a Content Intern for the 35 Denton Music Festival and Venue Manager at the Thin Line Film Festival.
During this time, she worked in academia while also writing for digital and print publications. In 2016, Ashuni co-founded and edited a digital art magazine called TSKC, which featured interviews with up-and-coming artists alongside written and visual work from creatives worldwide. The publication released six volumes before disbanding.
In 2019, she transitioned into digital marketing, working with companies in the health and wellness, food and beverage, interior design, and travel industries. Later, in 2022, she led the media team for BAKERpedia at The International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE), the largest baking industry event in the Western Hemisphere.
Currently, Ashuni specializes in digital marketing, helping companies excel in differentiating their products and services via multimedia channels. She also hosts the travel & culture podcast, a Texan in Spain. Additionally, Ashuni collaborates with the New York City-based collective, Minorities in Film, to support independent filmmakers.
